April: The Real New Year

April marks a significant milestone as we celebrate our first anniversary. This month symbolizes new beginnings and fresh starts, aligning perfectly with the idea of April being the real new year. Before the changes to the current calendar we now use were in place, the world had 13 months with 28 days each. Those that continued to celebrate April 1 as the New Year versus Jan 1st, were called April Fools. Get it? Well, we are not fooling here at The Contessa. Opened April 1st 2024, and we are one year and counting!
