1 / Where are you located?
The Contessa is located in the Sola Salon Studios in the Galleria Mall in Mt. Lebanon. 1500 Washington Road. We are on the lower level of the mall near the Blue Garage Entrance, across from Pottery Barn Kids.

You can park anywhere in the mall you would like. The closest parking is in the Blue Garage, and there are handicapped spaces available as well. If you park upstairs, there are two elevators, one in the center of the mall, and one near the entrance to Panera on the upper level. There are escalators in the center of the mall.

We are down the hall to the right inside the Sola entrance, the first bench you see is outside our door, Suite 7. If we are still with a client, have a seat on the bench. Marie will be right with you.

Bathrooms are located between Suite 5 and 6. There is a water fountain with a bottle filler if you need to hydrate.

2 / How long will my service take?
Service times depend on what you booked, with extra time built in for the first visit consultation. A Haircut and Style will be 1 1/2 hours, a Color and Cut service will be 2 1/2-3 hours.
3 / What can I expect at my first visit?
The first visit will feature an extensive consultation to assess your hair goals and history. Questions may include health, allergies, and medications as these can effect coloring services. We offer refreshments in season and snacks should you need something while here,. Hair goals will be established. and a plan to get there will be developed with next steps and future appointments. We will discuss products and homecare. as these will be vital to maintain your color and style going forward. Recommendations on products, and styling tips will be given..
4/ How much will I be charged for services?
Haircut and styles will be 65.00 for short or medium lengths, $15 extra for long hair. Color and Cut will be 175. There can be additional charges if we add highlights with your color, or need additional applications for any reason. Those will addressed during the consultation so there are no surprises for you. Highlights with a cut are $250. Any additional charges for extras will be reviewed in consultation. Returning guest pricing will be discussed at the end of your first visit.
5 / What forms of payment are accepted?
All major credit cards are accepted, including Apple Pay and other tap versions. Cash is also acceptable. We do not take checks. We also offer many payment plan options like Affirm.
6 / What communications can I expect after booking?
You will receive a confirmation of your appointment when you make it via text and email. This initial communication has links to reschedule or cancel should you need to. You will receive a welcome email from me in the week or so following with information and links to make your first visit easy with no surprises. You get an email or text 72 hours prior to your visit to confirm, and a reminder of your appointment 24 hours prior. In other words, we keep in touch!
